Electric energy is an indispensable energy source in the production and life of the national economy,and its status is increasingly important.With the continuous increase of power load and the continuous expansion of the scale of power grids,the scope of overhead transmission lines is also becoming wider and wider.Guangxi province is wet and rainy in winter and spring.The towers and wires of overhead lines are prone to freezing disasters in these two seasons.Severe icing will cause overhead lines disconnected and tower collapsed,finally lead to power grid blackout accident,and have huge impact on the people life and industrial production.To ensure the safety and stability of the power grid,therefore,it is imperative to formulate a feasible and reliable ice-melting and de-icing scheme for transmission lines.This paper firstly discusses the research status and existing problems of onl ine monitoring technology and ice melting and deicing technology of lines.Seco ndly,from the perspective of real-time monitoring of icing lines,the key technol ogies used in the terminal and the main station equipment in the online monitori ng system are studied.In the meantime,the structure and installation in the icing warning system,the structure,function module,support platform and interface of early warning station,are designed.The application of the online monitoring and early warning system for overhead lines of Guilin are introduced as well.Fi nally,according to the icing actual situation of overhead lines of Guilin,the feasi bility of several AC-DC ice-melting methods commonly used in China is analyz ed in depth.Aiming at the ice-melting lines in Guilin power grid,the AC-DC ice-melting scheme is designed to meet the actual needs of the site and facilitate the implementation of the project.The application of the research results in this paper provides technical support for the power supply department to deal with the freezing disaster of the line,effectively eliminates the freezing disaster of the overhead line in the initial stage,and ensures safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
