Because of playing important role in the field of road traffic,freeway’s progress and development is of great significance in improving the level of transporttation.At present,the maximum design speed of our country’s freeway is 120 km/h.From the re-ference to the development of highspeed railway to bring huge new forces of railwaytransportation and economic growth,the construction and design of superfreeway,which ismore than 120 km/h of design speed and has a higher service level,will show new en-ergy industry of our country freeway transportation.Based on the investigation of intelligent driving technology and the situation ana-lysis of the gravity of our country’s traffic,this paper proposes for the concept of superfreeway baced on intelligent driving the car,which will have higher level of service,as well as the vehicle driving characteristics.Then studyed the superfreeway’s theoretical capacity and analysed the economy of passenger transport,and the result shows that the construction and operation of the superfreeway is feasible.And through the quantitative research of the relationship between the ultraspeed and security,this paper finds that traffic accident probability and severity of superfreeway increases dramatically,therefore it requests high safety of the construction of the superfreeway.On analogy of ordinary freeway’s "Stopping sight distance ",paper defines and studies the superfreeway’s " Stopping recognition distance ".Then,according to the characteristics of self-driving cars and security requirement of the ultrahigh speed,paper studies the linear index of the superfreeway.Then,based on road alignment design’s theory,paper has carried on the theoretical analysis and research of the superfreeway’s linear index,including the limit of line length and maximum horizontal curve radius,the composition of easement curve,determination of minimum longitudinal slope length and combination’s design of flat and vertical lines.Baced on the balance of the force of a car at horizontal curve and requirement of Stopping recognition distance,paper forms the model of geometric analysis and computation,and uses the established model to get the superfreeway’s suggested values of minimum plane curve radius.From the Angle of vehicle dynamics,paper analyses superfreeway’s maximum limit of longitudinal slope and slope length,and gets suggested indicators’ value;Considerated comprehensively of vehicle safety and passenger comfort requirement,paper did research work on the minimum radius of vertical curve of superfreeway,and got it’s suggested value.Through analysis of the safety and comfort of superfreeway,paper did research work on linear indexes of superfreeway based on the technology of intelligent driving,which will provide reference for the construction and development of superfreeway.
