For a long time, road traffic safety is a difficult problem that puzzles the development of infrastructure construction in our country, and along with the rapid development of transportation infrastructure the problem of traffic safety becomes much more serious. The problem of traffic safety is concerned by a growing number of scholars in domestic, especially traffic safety evaluation having been becoming an indispensable topic of the transportation industry in recent times. The road alignment safety is one of the most important directions of traffic safety evaluation, and the evaluation of the road alignment can identify defects in the road design, providing decision support for the improvement and optimization of alignment, eventually to create a good road conditions, achieving the purpose of reducing the traffic accidents. In the study of traffic safety, human-vehicle-road has always been an integral whole. The road alignment to express its security through the state of the vehicle and the driver, and it provides a new way of the road alignment safety evaluation. In this paper, a road alignment evaluation model is established, which is based on vehicle driving safety, by analyzing the relationship between the human-vehicle-road and the vehicle dynamics simulation theory, and expressed road alignment safety by safety of vehicle and driver. Firstly, Summarized the existing research results at home and abroad, through the analysis of relevant literature. On this basis, study thoughts and forecasting methods are explicit. Secondly, the noticeable problems of the common road alignment combination are summarized, providing the basis for the selection of evaluation model and index, by analyzing the influence of road alignment (including horizontal, vertical alignments and combined designs) on the safety of vehicles. A simulation model was built, combined with the characteristics of vehicle dynamics, road alignment and vehicle driving safety. The modeling principles and methods of vehicle model, driver control model and 3D road model were studied in this section, and the reliability and stability of the integrated simulation model were verified with double lane change test and turn test. Thirdly, combined with simulation model characteristics and road alignment, speed, vehicle, and driver safety index are selected as an evaluation criterion, and the evaluation criteria and methods of the three kinds of evaluation parameters are studied. Finally, a certain combined sharp horizontal and vital curves were evaluated by this simulation model, under 80km/h, 90km/h and 100km/h three initial expected operating speed conditions. The driver will appear dizziness nausea and other discomfort phenomenon was found on the road of K11+900; The operating speed of the vehicle was 60km/h, which was less than the design speed 80km/h on the road of K11+900, due to the impact of road route. And according to the simulation results, the requirement of adding deceleration warning board and accelerating belt were put forward in this section. On the one hand the evaluation results of three kinds of indexes results to a mutual matching, verifying the correctness of the model further, on the other hand three kinds of indexes are complementary, making up for the defect of one kind of evaluation index. After simulation, it can be proved that the evaluation model has good applicability in the evaluation of road alignment, and it can reduce the generation of road defects.
