With the rapid development of IoT technology and the increasing number of IoT application devices,the IoT is gradually infiltrating into various industries and driving theirs progress.This article combines the forklifts widely used in the warehousing industry with the Internet of Things,and proposes a forklift safety supervision system based on the Internet of Things.Through using data acquisition technology,GPS/BDS global satellite positioning,4G wireless communication,ultrasonic sensor,and RFID achieves system's goals which conclude data collection for forklift operation,forklift safety warning,and operator management.These goals improve the safety of forklift operations and provide a data foundation and transmission path for remote vertical supervision of forklifts.The system is mainly applicable to empty working sites,like railway freight yards and docks.In combination with remote monitoring applications,remote real-time monitoring of forklift weight,speed,location,driver identity and other information can be performed.The main research contents of this article include four points.(1)According to the needs,the overall scheme of the system based on the Internet of Things was proposed.There are three main objectives of the system:safety warning,operation data acquisition and operator management.Forklift safety warning functions include overspeed warning for driving,overweight warning for load,anti-collision warning for reversing and anti-collision warning for personnel.Forklift operation data acquisition function refers to the use of load cells,GPS/BDS sensors to collect forklift weight,speed,position and other information.The operator management function mainly refers to the information management,operation specification management,and work performance management of the forklift operator.By the IC card,with the driver's identity information,and the card reader,we can read the current operator's identity matching of operation data and alarm data,which help us realize operator management.(2)According to the system overall scheme,the hardware and software of the forklift safety supervision system are designed and developed.The system hardware uses stm32 single-chip microcomputer as the core controller.RFID device realizes anti-collision warning for personnel.Ultrasonic sensor realizes reverse anti-collision warning.Weighing module,GPS/BDS positioning module realizes forklift weight,speed and position data collection.Using IC card with the reader,the forklift operators get on and off the car to collect their identity information.The on-site screen realizes human-computer interaction.And the 4G DTU module implements data transmission.The embedded software of the system is divided into main functions and sub-functions.And the related functions of the system are realized by polling and calling.(3)The installation and testing of the forklift safety supervision system were completed.In addition to the main equipment of the system,the equipment that needs to be fixed include load cells,ultrasonic sensors,hidden internal connecting lines,etc.The external equipment is connected to the main body through aviation plugs,which provide waterproof function and dustproof function,and it's also easy to dismantle and maintain.System testing is divided into performance testing and communication testing.The sensor performance test shows that the experimental error of the load cell does not exceed 3.2%of the forklift truck's weight,the forklift's speed measurement error is less than 0.5km/h,and the anti-collision warning sensitivity error is less than 5%.Communication test shows that the forklift safety supervision system can realize the real-time collection and transmission of forklift operation data.Overall,it completely meets the system design requirements.Based on the comprehensive system development process and final test results,the forklift safety supervision system provides valuable research ideas and practical cases for the existing forklifts' intelligent transformation and the research of new intelligent forklifts.
