According to the structural characteristics of the spherical plain bearing,it has many advantages,such as large load,high resistance to impact,corrosion and wear,and has a self.aligning performance.The spherical plain bearing has many applications in civil and military fields,and its role in these applications is irreplaceable.As domestic entities high.speed and sustained development of the manufacturing industry of our country the spherical plain bearing manufacturing has formed relatively perfect system,but can be matched with the spherical plain bearing testing machine research is far behind,and foreign the spherical plain bearing test research field is quite mature,its can through the analysis of the simulation test data of different conditions to develop bearing life calculation method and its conditions of use.Therefore,the domestic market urgently needs to test the performance,life and reliability of this kind of bearing.The main research contents of this paper are the following:1.To realize adjustable test load swing Angle 0?1600 N,swing Angle adjustable ± 10?22.5°,adjustable reciprocating oscillation frequency 1 ? 5Hz,the main component systems of the swing life testing machine for the spherical plain bearings are designed in detail and the key parts are checked and calculated at the same time completing the design of the main structure of the testing machine.2.For the core mechanism and major stressed parts of the testing machine,the ANSYS Workbench (finite element analysis software) was used to conduct static analysis,and the deformation and equivalent stress were analyzed and calculated to determine its strength could meet the test requirements of the testing machine.3.The assembly drawing of the test machine and the machining drawings of each part are drawn with the Autodesk inventor software,and the installation and debugging of the power execution system,loading system and test bed of the test machine were completed.4.The error analysis of several important parameters of the testing machine is carried out through practical test and theoretical calculation.At the same time,the error analysis results are compared with the results published in the industry,and the test accuracy could meet the requirements of the testing machine is determined.5.The life test of a certain type of the self.lubricating spherical plain bearing is carried out,and the corresponding test results are obtained.At the same time,the theoretical life calculation of the test bearing is carried out according to the same working condition.The preliminary verification of the actual test results is consistent with the theoretical calculation results,and the reliability of the test machine itself is also verified.In addition,the stress distribution of the test bearing under the same working condition is analyzed by using the finite element analysis software,and the factors affecting the service life of the bearing due to the unreasonable internal design of the test bearing are excluded.
