With the development of global economic integration and the implementation of the "going out" strategy,China's oversea contracting projects are getting rapid development.More and more Chinese construction enterprises coming into the oversea engineering field and undertaking EPC infrastructures.However,international engineering is a high risky and brutally competitive career,and there is a big gap between the current research and application of engineering claims management and foreign counterparts both in theory and practice.This paper analyzes and identifies the claim risk of international EPC power station projects,and then carries out contract management and claim management in a targeted way,which can not only help Chinese contractors to protect their legitimate rights and interests,improve the project management level of Chinese contractors,but also promote the prosperity and development of overseas project contracting in China.As the largest country in the south Asian subcontinent,India is one of the fastest growing countries in the world with a remarkable economic growth rate.Besides,China and Indian are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS countries,and two sides have lots of cooperation.Especially in recent years,the power market of Indian is developing rapidly and the huge market potential attracted many Chinese enterprises.These thesis takes the TALWANDI coal-fired power station project of S company in India as the research object Based on the current situation of claims risk management of this project,through the analysis of relevant domestic and foreign literature and scientific research results,conducting research in accordance with the ideas of risk identification,risk assessment,risk response and risk guarantee.First,five primary risks and 20 secondary risks of the project were identified through expert interviews.Secondly,through the analytic hierarchy process,the above-mentioned claim risk factors are sorted and the index weight are calculated.Then,based on the influence weight of risk factors,corresponding risk countermeasures are proposed.Finally,it explores how to guarantee the smooth implementation of the risk response measures from the aspects of improving the contract management level,enhancing the claim awareness of all employees,giving priority to project implementation,and business development..Through this study,this thesis makes a detailed analysis of the claim risk management of international engineering projects in India,summarizes the claim risks and countermeasures frequently encountered by Indian engineering,and provides reference and path guidance in implementing EPC project claim management.
