Alcohol content tester,as an smart instrument for professional detection of human alcohol content,is in demand in many alcohol prohibition industries and scenes. In view of the various forms and types of alcohol content tester in the current market, there are still some problems such as lack of sense of design, different interaction modes, and inability to meet users' kansei needs for such equipment. In this paper, portable breath alcohol content tester is selected as the research object.Through combing and analyzing the existing kansei design theories,a simplified product design model based on Kansei Engineering is constructed and applied to the design practice of portable breath alcohol content tester. In a certain sense,it enriches the research on kansei design theory and alcohol content tester product design. In this paper, the users of portable breath alcohol content tester are defined as three categories: monitor, detected person and self-detected person, and the relevant characteristic information of users is obtained through questionnaire survey.Through the collection and screening of the product pictures and the corresponding kansei words of the portable breath alcohol content tester, the experimental sample pictures and representative kansei image words are obtained, and then the kansei needs of users are measured and studied by using the Kansei Engineering related technology, including the psychological measurement research of questionnaire survey by semantic difference method,SPSS statistical analysis is carried out on the questionnaire data, the kansei image set composed of three image components is obtained, and the perceptual image space is constructed.By analyzing the visual characteristics of the product appearance of the portable alcohol content tester and deconstructing the product elements, and displaying them in the form of chart classification, the product design elements that can affect the perceptual needs of users are extracted by the method of combining mathematical physics and chemistry I theory with multiple linear regression analysis. Finally, the research results are applied to the design of portable alcohol content tester, and perceptual evaluation and verification are carried out.
