The Research Ot Tiger Hill Garden History

Tiger Hill is one of the most representative scenic gardens in China.Its spatial evolution process has an important research significance for the historical advancement of traditional large-scale landscape gardens in China.In the torrent of history,Tiger Hill has survived,developed,silenced,accumulated,and reborn.This paper takes the historical changes of Tiger Hill as a research clue,while studying the history of Tiger Hill 's prosperity,and studies the history of Tiger Hill with spatial change as the research subject,and summarizes the spatial characteristics of each historical period.This paper systematically integrates the historical changes of Tiger Hill and the cultural connotation that has not been fully revealed,and the chaos and miscellaneous features of Tiger Hill 's appearance.It mainly uses the combination of historical documents,historical maps and old photographs to analyze the main space.The layout of the garden is presumed to be the garden scope,main building,spring stone landscaping and garden plants of it.Then the spatial transformation of Tiger Hill was divided into four stages:the Pre-Qin Dynasty,the Sui and Tang Dynasties,the Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,and the end of the Qing Dynasty.And then,the history of Tiger Hill is divided into four different landscape periods for specific research,and the landscape plan of each period is drawn,which visually reflects the garden layout of Tiger Hill.Based on this research,we grasp the historical continuity and spatial integrity of Tiger Hill.Taking this as a starting point,the spatial scope,mausoleum landscape,architectural landscape,literati retreat,spring stone landscaping,plant landscaping,cultural imagery,etc.of Tiger Hill four styles are studied.Finally,according to comparing and summing up the historical changes of Tiger Hill and the spatial comparison of the four periods.First,the scope of the Tiger Hill seen today is smaller than that of the old.Second,this is mainly based on the architecture,plants,springs and stones in the core area.Excavate the cultural connotations of adoring the great,seclusion,loyalty and filial piety,which are gradually forgotten by the later generations,to know the vicissitudes of the development of Tiger Hill and the large-scale landscape architecture of Soochow.
