The process industry covers industries such as petrochemicals,energy metallurgy,and food daily chemicals,and is an important part of the national economy.Centrifugal compressor as important equipment in the process industry,the safe and stable operation of centrifugal compressors is not only concerned by the operation and maintenance personnel of enterprises,but also by the industry and related scholars.In actual production,the centrifugal compressor thrust bearing will have many failures,resulting in excessive bearing temperature or wear of the bearing BABBITT alloy.This caused the reduction of production efficiency and safety.Therefore,this article analyzes the failure situation of thrust bearing from the following parts:Firstly,by analyzing the working principle and the main wear form of the thrust bearing,combined with the concrete analysis of the failure cases in the actual production,the failure characteristics and the reasons of the thrust bearing are summarized and found.Secondly,the axial force of an RBZ-2+2+3 centrifugal compressor is calculated,and the bearing force of the thrust bearing and the bearing pressure of the bushing are obtained.Then,the distribution of the oil's velocity field,pressure field,and temperature field are obtained by numerical simulation of the lubricating oil by MATLAB.Lastly,the numerical simulation results are analyzed to study the law of velocity,pressure and temperature distribution,and the solution methods of thrust bearing are put forward.
