Scroll compressor has been widely used in refrigeration,air conditioning and power engineering due to its small size,low energy consumption and high efficiency.Thrust bearing is used to support axial force during the op eration of scroll compressor to maintain the smooth operation of scroll.However,the poor lubrication performance of thrust bearing will reduce the working efficiency of scroll compressor,and even make the surface wear failure of thrust bearing,which wi ll seriously affect the reliability of scroll compressor.In view of the above problems,the influence of micro-texture on the lubrication performance of thrust bearing of scroll compressor was studied by numerical simulation.In this work,based on the computational fluid dynamics method(CFD),the influence of micro-texture on the lubrication performance of the thrust bearing of the scroll compressor is simulated.Firstly,the computational domain model is established for the axisymmetric distributed micro-texture on the thrust bearing surface by using 3D modeling software.ICEM CFD,the pretreatment software in ANSYS,is used to divide the computational domain model into high quality computational grid,due to the good meshing technology.Next solver software Fluent was used to the calculation of the thrust bearing surface micro scroll compressor of clearance domain three dimensional flow field numerical simulation.Meanwhile,by changing the operating parameters and the geometric parameters of the micro-texture,the arrangement form and the structure shape,the numerical simulation calculation is carried out one by one to solve the pressure distribution of the oil film on the thrust bearing surface,and then the bearing capacity of the oil film is calculat ed by using the formula.By contrastive analysis,the influence law of scroll compressor operating conditions and micro-texture geometric parameters,arrangement and structure shape on the bearing capacity of the oil film on the thrust bearing surface with in the range of applicable parameters was obtained.The simulation results show that the maximum bearing capacity of oil film increases,following increase of spindle speed.They show a linear relationship.And it decreases with the increase of the bearing clearance.When the bearing clearance is more small,the influence result is more obvious.Under the conditions of different spindle speeds and bearing clearances,the maximum bearing capacity of oil film increases with the increase of micro-texture diameter.And following the increase of microtexture depth,it increases initially and decreases afterwards.There is an optimal relationship between bearing clearances and micro-texture depth.The microtexture arrangement has a certain influence on the maximum bearing capacity of the oil film,and there is an optimal arrangement.Compared with the lubrication properties of the surface shapes and cross-section shapes of various micro-textures,the rectangular and circular micro-texture have the best lubrication properties.The design of proper micro-texture parameters,arrangement and structure can effectively improve the lubrication effect of bearing.
