Folding rudder which is widely used can effectively reduce the external dimensions of aircrafts and missiles,reduce storage space,and increase the load of missiles.However,due to the fact that the existing folding rudder blades are mostly single-action and are driven with elastic elements,the action process is not controllable.At the same time,according to the actual functional requirements,actual working environment and application of the aircraft rudder wing size interference problem,a fully automated folding rudder was designed.Firstly,based on the practical environment and requirements of the folding rudder,the FLUENT software is used to calculate the working dead load of the rudder.At the same time,the structure design,vibration characteristics analysis,and mathematical model were established for the folding and unfolding functional device and the locking and unlocking functional device.The mathematical model deduces its kinematics and the impact equations in place.Next,the position distribution of its load-bearing components with the use of finite element software is optimized,which improves the stress of the load-bearing components.Secondly,according to its actual work environment at high altitude,the demand analysis of anti-icing is analyzed.In order to ensure the successful realization of the folding and unfolding function,anti-icing design is carried out.The drop impact characteristic equation was established and FLUENT was used to estimate its anti-icing range.At the same time,the electro-thermal anti-icing scheme was established through simulation and analysis,and the function of folding rudder anti-icing was completed.So it can successfully fold and unfold rudder when flying in high altitude icing environments.Finally,according to the design process of folding rudder structure and anti-icing system,a comparative experiment with electro-thermal simulation and finite element bearing pin position distribution optimization simulation was designed.The simulation and experimental data were compared and the rationality of the scheme design process was verified.At the same time,the prototype of the folded rudder was processed,and a functional test was carried out.The folded rudder prototype can meet external size requirements and functional requirements.The automatic folding rudder functional device designed in this paper will not affect the aerodynamic shape of the rudder wing,can effectively reduce the external dimensions of the airborne aircraft or missile,and can meet the requirements for static load and dynamic load.Simultaneously,the structure is simple and the impact is small.The folding process is controllable,and there is no need to make structural transformation of the flying equipment.It is great engineering significance to improve the flight equipment.
