In the past ten years,China's railway network has developed rapidly. At the same time,a large number of railway passenger stations have been built accordingly, most of which are small and medium-sized railway passenger stations.Today, the construction of green railways and the improvement of passenger travel quality are new objectives for the development of China's railway transportation. This goal also puts new demands on the railway station, which is an important node in the railway network, that is,more energy efficiency and better environment. However,a large quantity of small and medium-sized railway passenger stations are usually not based on green concept at the beginning of design. Therefore, how to adapt them to the new social background and meet new demands through green transformation is an urgent problem to be solved for railway passenger stations. This paper starts with the energy consumption of small and medium-sized railway passenger stations in the hot summer and cold winter regions, and analyzes the influencing factors of the energy consumption of passenger station buildings from the aspects of regional specific climatic conditions, the characteristics of small and medium-sized station buildings and space, and tries to find out the key problem. On this basis, the passive energy-saving design concept was introduced, and the contents and application methods of passive design were elaborated in combination with the characteristics of railway passenger stations. The principle and application strategy of passive design in the transformation of small and medium-sized passenger stations in hot summer and cold winter areas are proposed in a targeted manner. And simulation method is used to verify the effect of passive energy-saving.It is hoped that it will provide guidance for the renovation and design of small and medium-sized railway passenger stations in the future, thus effectively reducing the energy consumption of small and medium-sized railway passenger stations. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter expounds the research background and conducts basic theoretical research on the subject, summarizes relevant research history at home and abroad, and proposes research methods and frameworks. The second chapter studies the concept, significance and design content of passive energy-saving design analyzes the application of passive energy-saving measures in China's hot summer and cold winter regions. After that, the core chapter of this thesis is as follows: The third chapter analyzes the climate characteristics of the hot summer and cold winter regions, the spatial characteristics, architectural characteristics, and use requirements of the existing small and medium-sized railway passenger stations in China and analyzes their impact on building energy consumption. The fourth chapter discusses the transformation principle and design process of small and medium-sized railway passenger stations in the hot summer and cold winter areas, combining the characteristics of the construction space of railway passenger stations and the climate characteristics of specific areas. And the transformation strategy is proposed from five aspects: optimization of sunshade, optimization of window and curtain wall, optimization of natural ventilation, optimization of roof lighting and sunshade, and introduction of ecological landscape. The fifth chapter selects QingBaiJiang Station as a typical case of medium-sized passenger station in the hot summer and cold winter area to do the field research, and uses it as a prototype to establish a research model, and then use some specific passive energy-saving measures to establish a modification model. And by simulating the comfort level and energy consumption before and after the transformation to verify the effectiveness of passive energy-saving strategy.
