With the advent of the personalization era,people's demand for the individualization of the wheel shape has been continuously improved.The traditional wheel design method has been unable to meet the current design requirements.It is difficult to form an objective and rational wheel only by relying on the designer's subjective intention.The innovative design of the shape and the “homogeneous” problem of the wheel shape are difficult to solve.Therefore,how to form the differentiation of the hub shape through innovative design and realize the rapid design of the hub has become a major problem facing the industry.This paper aims to find a simplified innovative design method for the shape of the hub,which makes the design of the hub more intuitive and convenient,improves the design efficiency,and achieves the purpose of rapid design of the hub.Based on the V-shaped memory curve theory,the V-shaped memory curve theory is applied to the hub shape design,and the V-shaped spoke characteristics of the hub are analyzed.By adjusting the control points of the V-shaped curve,the shape of the hub is regularly changed to construct a new wheel hub.Modeling method.Firstly,the variation law and characteristics of the V-shaped curve of the hub are summarized,and the V-shaped curve is classified.Secondly,the characteristics of the hub form components are extracted,the concept of the wheel skeleton is proposed,and three kinds of operations of the wheel skeleton are established: progressive operation,superposition operation,combined operation,and algorithm is established to construct a complete wheel shape design method based on V-shaped memory curve.With GRASSHOPPER software,and secondary development,according to the classification of bones,the bone pattern is transformed into a dot pattern,the algorithm is used to realize the bone transformation,and the shape of the hub is controlled by the dot pattern to complete the transformation of the two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional model.process.Then taking the wheel brand BREYTON as an example,the design method was used to redesign the brand hub,which confirmed the feasibility of the method.Finally,build a wheel shape designplatform to develop a detailed design process for the overall design of the wheel hub.This paper constructs a new wheel shape design method,assists the designer to complete the rapid innovation design of the hub shape,provides a new idea for the wheel shape design,shortens the design cycle,improves the design efficiency,and realizes the design goal of the rapid formation of the hub shape.
