Research On Design Of Children's Theme Restaurant Based On Affordance Theory

In the context of China's two-child policy,the birth rate of children has gradually increased.Studies have shown that children's dietary problems have always been a key concern of parents.At present,domestic consumer spending related to children has accounted for a large part of total household consumption expenditure.Under this opportunity,the children's theme restaurant that provides food service for children has developed rapidly.However,due to its late development in China,academic research on the design of such space is not mature enough in actual children.There are still some problems in the use of the theme restaurant.The theory of availability,also known as direct perception theory,refers to the surface features and functional orientations of things that exist in the environment and can be directly observed by human vision.While children mainly observe and perceive the external world by visual touch,and are limited by the development of their cognitive level,the available factors in the environment are not all applicable to children.Therefore,this thesis uses the theory of availability as a guide to study the design method of children's theme restaurants.It can further explore the environmental availability factors suitable for children's cognitive level and valuable to children in the space environment from the perspective of children.A space environment that is more suitable for children's characteristics.In addition,the main dining group in the children's theme restaurant has a parent group in addition to children.Therefore,this thesis combines theoretical research with field questionnaire interviews to study the different characteristics of children and their parents in terms of physiological development,behavioral characteristics,spatial satisfaction,spatial design needs,etc.,and through field research.The method of investigation analyzed and compared the availability factors of the space environment of the existing children's theme restaurants in Shenzhen,and summarized their commonalities and differences.Based on this theoretical research,the author analyzes the different available factors for children and their parents in the space environment from different perspectives of parents and children,and analyzes and contrasts them.The environmental availability factors perceivedby children and parents can be divided into three categories: 1.Availability factors that can be perceived by both groups and have value for both groups;Second,can be perceived by children and mainly Availability factors that have value to children;third,availability factors that can be perceived by parents and are primarily valuable to parents.By analyzing the constituent factors of the available factors,the design methods for better realization of various environmental availability factors are summarized from the aspects of space medium,spatial function layout,space surface design and spatial material entity arrangement,which are applied to actual children.Theme restaurant design project.
