| In just 40 years,Shenzhen has grown into a modern international metropolis, which is a miracle in the history of urban development.People also think that Shenzhen, which is positioned as a modern city,is only a young and vigorous city with no history or cultural background. The rapid development of Shenzhen has made people neglect the precious historical and cultural heritage that still exists in Shenzhen. In the real Shenzhen area, there are many historical, cultural and architectural heritages left over, which are not what people call "cultural desert".The traditional market in Shenzhen and the buildings in it are one of them.In history,Shenzhen has had many fairs, but with decades of urbanization, most of them have been "knocked down" and replaced by tall and gorgeous modern buildings. However, some of these markets and their buildings are still preserved because of various factors. The formation and development of the market can not be separated from Shenzhen’s multi-culture since ancient times. The buildings in the market are also influenced by Shenzhen’s immigrant culture and Lingnan culture. They have different spatial forms and characteristics. The development of the market in Shenzhen is also inseparable from the requirements of the geographical environment and traffic conditions. The better the traffic conditions, the faster the development of the market and the larger the scale. Therefore, the study of traditional market and its architecture in this paper can not only understand the historical development and architectural development of the market in Shenzhen since the Qing and Kangxi dynasties, but also understand the economic and cultural development process in Shenzhen, and can also roughly clarify the historical evolution process of the whole city in Shenzhen. This paper takes the traditional market and its buildings in Shenzhen as the research object, explores its historical evolution process, and excavates the background factors affecting the formation and development of the market, and divides the market in Shenzhen into three levels: central market, intermediate market and grass-roots market according totraffic conditions, size and other factors.Four examples of Pinghu Ruins,Guanlan Ruins,Longgang Ruins and Qingping Ruins with market grade at the core level, are analyzed and discussed concretely in terms of their spatial layout pattern, the material space and architectural form of existing ruins and the historical development behind them. Finally, the factors affecting the development of ruins and the differences among the buildings in the ruins are summarized. The characteristics are discussed. It will provide the basis for the urbanization construction and other related research in the future. It proves that Shenzhen not only has a strong economic and technological strength, but also has a strong historical background that can not be ignored. |
