With the global society developing rapidly, the energy problem is increasingly prominent. The power industry is facing serious problems such as large peak and valley difference of the power grid and insufficient power supply at peak.More than half of the power consumption is due to the air conditioning system.Regional air conditioning system can not only reduce the overall installed capacity and save the land area, but also unify and coordinate the energy supply of the load side, reduce the number of units and improve the unit efficiency. In this paper,a regional ice storage air conditioning system in Chongqing is taken as the research object.Combined with measurement and Matlab simulation analysis, the influence of different operation strategies on energy consumption and economic benefits of the system is studied,so as to provide guidance for the optimal operation of the ice storage air conditioning system. The main work and conclusions are as follows:Firstly, testing indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity. The performance of water-source heat pump units and plate heat exchangers are also tested. The typical building loads are calculated through the DeST platform. Then the area load and the proportion of each typical load rates are estimated.According to the monitoring data, the mathematical model of the units side, ice storage equipment and distribution system are established.Based on the theories of cold and heat source, the system model is established and verified through the programming software platform.Secondly, the operation modes of ice storage priority, unit priority and non-ice storage in summer are analyzed. The control strategies of system operation under various typical load rates are obtained. The results show that: compared with the non-ice-storage operation mode, the ice-storage priority operation mode increases the power consumption by 16.17% in the cooling season, and saves 11.77% of the operation cost;the peak-shifting power rate is 53.05%,and the utilization rate of valley power is 39.81%.The economic efficiency, energy efficiency and peak-load shifting capacity of the priority operation mode of the unit can be ignorant. In addition, the ice storage tank in summer is used as a water storage tank for heating in winter. The original heat pump air comditioning system in winter is redesigned to be a river source heat pump plus water storage air conditioning system.A comparative analysis is made in terms of economy and energy consumption in different operation modes in winter. The results show that: compared with the priority operation mode of the unit, the ice storage priority operation mode increases the power consumption by 6.46% in heating season and saves 24.90% of the operating cost;the peak-shifting power rate is 70.64%% and the utilization rate of valley power is 49.11%.Finally,the influence of the development scale of the service area, the user-side temperature difference and the heat-storage temperature difference of different operation modes are studied. The control strategies of heating season and cooling season under different working conditions and operating modes are analyzed. The influence of various factors on the energy consumption and economic benefits of the system are compared. The results show that the system power consumption, operating cost, peak power consumption and valley power consumption increases as the development scale increases. The power consumption ratio of distribution system decreases as the user-side temperature difference increases.Compared with the priority operation mode of the unit, the pump energy consumption of the ice/heat-storage priority operation mode accounts for a higher proportion. The gap between two increases as the user-side temperature difference increases.Increasing the temperature difference of water storage system can improve the heating capacity of the water tank, reducing the operating cost and units' power consumption, improving the balance of the grid peak and valley difference ability, but also increasing the power consumption of the system. In conclusion, reasonable design and optimization of regional ice storage air conditioning system can bring significant economic benefits to users and effectively alleviate the problem of unbalanced load in peak and valley of power grid.
