| Compared with conventional power cables,high-temperature superconducting(HTS)power transmission cables have the advantages of strong current carrying capacity,low loss,compact structure,no electromagnetic radiation,etc.The application of HTS cables is of great significance for high power delivery of electrical energy and energy conservation of the future power grid.The operating conditions of the power lines in the power system are very complicated.Under normal operating conditions,the rated current will flow,and in the event of a short-circuit fault in the power system,a short-circuit fault current of ten or even dozens of the rated current will flow.It is of great significance for ensuring the reliability and stability of power systems to master the characteristics of HTS cable under different operating conditions.In this paper,the design and dynamic thermal characteristics analysis of 10kV/2.3kA three-phase concentric high temperature superconducting cable are carried out,the main work and results are as follows:(1)Based on the application of superconducting cables,the current capacity of the second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes under different temperature and magnetic field were analyzed,the critical currents under different magnetic field of several types of second-generation HTS tapes,including SCS4050 HTS tape,were tested,and the mathematical model of SCS4050 HTS tape was established;(2)Different types of HTS cables and their applicable occasions were summarized,a mathematical model of HTS cable was built.Based on the experimental data and the mathematical model above,the 10kV/2.3kA three-phase concentric HTS cable body was designed and its equivalent line impedance was calculated;(3)A two-dimensional(2-D)finite element simulation calculation method of HTS cable was introduced,and its validity was verified.The two-dimensional simulation calculation model was used to calculate the AC loss of the three-phase concentric superconducting cable under different operating conditions.A 2-D heat transfer model of the HTS cable was established.Based on the calculated value of AC loss,the thermal stability of the three-phase concentric superconducting cable under rated operating condition was verified,and the dynamic thermal analysis under different fault currents were conducted. |
