A Study On Industry-University-Institute Innovation Network Of China's Wind Power Industry Based On Patents

In order to cope with the increasingly severe climate change and energy shortage,and promote the optimization and upgrading of energy structure,China has vigorously developed the wind power industry.However,under the background of rapid industrial expansion,China's wind power industry's independent innovation capability has not been significantly improved,and insufficient innovation capability has become an important obstacle to the rapid development of China's wind power industry.Collaborative innovation of Industry-University-Institute can give full play to the advantages of production,study and research in terms of functions and resources.It is an important way to improve the innovation efficiency of China's wind power industry and improve the level of wind power innovation in China.This paper uses China's Industry-University-Institute's cooperative patents data in wind power industry to illustrate its cooperation innovation network.The study has findings as follows: from a macro perspective,China's wind power industry's IndustryUniversity-Institute innovation network presents an obvious "central-half-edge-edge" structure;from a microscopic point of view,China's wind power industry's Industry-University-Institute innovation network is built around several important nodes,which are dominant nodes for network.The cooperation between State Grid Corporation of China(SGCC)and China Electric Power Research Institute(CEPRI)has a large proportion in the overall Industry-University-Institute cooperation.State-owned enterprises or central enterprises are the main enterprises in the innovation cooperation in the wind power industry.Universities has played a "bridge role" in the innovation cooperation of Industry-University-Institute.From the evolution point of view,the innovation network of Industry-University-Institute in China's wind power industry has experienced the formation period,growth period and consolidation period,and the innovation network experienced the evolution path of “sparse-stable-consolidation”.The enthusiasm of the innovation entities in the network to participate in the innovation of Industry-University-Institute is constantly improving;from the content point of view,the innovation activities are mostly concentrated in the field of electricity,including power generation,substation or power distribution,specifically for wind power storage,wind power transmission,wind power which are mostly in the middle and lower reaches of the wind power industry chain.On this basis,this paper identifies the problems in the innovation network of Industry-University-Institute and relevant countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
