As the main body of social fixed assets investment,engineering projects have an important role to play in developing China's economy and improving people's living standards.In recent years,the growth rate of the total output value of the domestic construction industry has slowed down,which has made the market competition in the construction industry increasingly fierce.The drawbacks of the traditional extensive cost management model have become increasingly prominent.Since joining the WTO,domestic cost management theories and methods have begun to be in line with international standards.The research direction of cost management has also been engaged in post-control transformation prior control,from one-sided construction cost control to full-project,full-time,all-round comprehensive cost management.Management tools and management methods are gradually emphasizing the integration of information technology.Cost management has a long history in the development of China's construction industry.As an important professional section of the project management system,the cost management has always been one of the management priorities of engineering project managers.As one of the most influential information technologies in the construction industry informationization,BIM technology has played an incomparable advantage in the process of project construction information management.It solves the problems of project cost management and enhances the project cost information management.The level shows great potential.Integrating BIM technology into engineering project cost management has gradually become a hot topic in the current practice field and academic research field.However,due to the current lack of relevant BIM standards and norms in China,insufficient localization of BIM software,lack of professional talents,and lack of effective theoretical basis to support BIM engineering project cost management practices,BIM-based engineering project cost management practice application Less,the actual effect is much different from the expected.In the existing research,the research content mainly focuses on the empirical summarization and problem analysis of the project case,and rarely discusses the overall system construction design from the theoretical basis.There is no research on its key success factors.Based on this reality,this study starts from the perspective of the successful application of BIM technology in project cost management.Firstly,it summarizes the existing literature on BIM and project cost management at home and abroad,summarizes the shortcomings of existing research,and then refines it comprehensively and objectively.The success factors of BIM-based engineering project cost management in each document;then,a set of scientific method processes are used to deal with success factors.These include the use of Delphi method to correct the success factors obtained;based on TOE theory to build a list of BIM-based engineering project cost management success factors;and through questionnaires and analytic models,combined with key success factor theory,quantitative analysis based on BIM.The key success factors for engineering project cost management.Finally,through a successful implementation of the BIM cost management project case,the rationality and practicability of the key success factors obtained through theoretical analysis are demonstrated.The study pointed out that the unified BIM model standards and specifications,the establishment of cost management BIM database,the coordination of work of all parties,the assurance of accurate and timely data sources,and the provision of BIM cost management talents are key success factors for BIM-based project cost management implementation.This research enriches the content of BIM and project cost management research,and lays a foundation for further research to a certain extent,which provides a certain theoretical support and basis for BIM-based engineering project cost management practice.
