Abstract/Summary:
As one of the indispensable spaces in urban construction, urban rivers are an important part of urban development and contain a long history of the region. The waterfront space has two characteristics, natural and artificial, which can produce huge ecological, social and economic benefits, and has a profound impact on the development of the city and the ecological protection of the environment.Since the modern industrial revolution, urban expansion and technological development have accelerated the development of urban waterfront areas, encroaching on natural water bodies and river channels, and disrupting the ecological balance of waterfront space. The artificial waterscape, which is built with a lot of money and manpower, cannot provide a sustainable ecosystem and it is difficult to reflect the regional cultural characteristics. Therefore, the re-development and utilization of the waterfront has become an issue that people are paying more and more attention to.In this context, this paper will combine the relevant ecological restoration theory and waterfront landscape design method, collect the typical waterfront landscape design cases at home and abroad, analyze its design concept and program planning, and absorb the excellent points.Taking the Shichuan River in Yanliang District of Xi’an as the research object, this paper analyzes the status quo of natural and human landscapes, combines urban river landscape design and ecological restoration theory, and integrates regional elements to repair and enhance the design of the Shichuan River waterfront landscape.Through the overall planning, district design and various special designs of the Ishikawa River, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Based on the river ecological restoration theory and landscape design theory, the Shichuan River landscape design combines the watershed culture of the “Old Qin People” of the Shichuan River to repair the ecological environment of the Shichuan River Basin and show the folk customs of the Yanliang area.(2)Through the analysis of relevant cases and the study of the regional culture of Yanliang, the park will be divided into four sub-areas: “Life Rhythm”,“Jinghu Moonlight Night”,“Shallow Creek Flower Sea” and “Gu Qin Relic”.It is a comprehensive waterfront park with four functions of daily sports, leisure recreation, ecological experience and cultural education.(3)In the design, the traditional culture and folk culture in the Ishikawa River Basin are integrated into various landscape elements, and the historical culture and folk customs of Yanliang are displayed in the form of Shangyu Reforming Sculpture,Nuclear Sculpture Experience Workshop and Shadow Play Stage,so that the Ishikawa River Basin Culture is passed down in the park landscape.
