With the wide application of MRF in engineering and the development of computer, virtual simulation technology is becoming more and more important in the design and research of aircraft landing gear.In this paper,ADAMS software is used for dynamic analysis and simulation test of landing gear based on magnetorheological principle.Firstly, this paper introduces the research progress of aircraft landing gear dynamics and MR damper. Then, the dynamic analysis of landing gear based on magnetorheological principle is carried out,and the equation expressions of air spring force,MR damper force, structural restriction force and tire force are derived.According to the actual physical model of landing gear, the virtual prototype of magnetorheological landing gear is built by using ADAMS/View.The simulation results are compared with the experimental results to verify the correctness of the simulation. Then the influence of current and damping gap on the cushioning performance of landing gear is analyzed. The results show that the cushioning performance of landing gear can be effectively improved by controlling current and changing damping gap,and the control effect is better.By using Taguchi method,an orthogonal test table was established to optimize the effective magnetization length, damping gap, coil thickness and current of MR damper, and a set of optimal parameters was selected. Finally, according to the optimized parameters, using ADAMS/Aircraft to establish the front and rear landing gear subsystems, front and rear wheel subsystems and fuselage systems, and transferred to the whole aircraft model.Static and dynamic landing simulation tests with time of 2s and step size of 200 are carried out respectively. The simulation results are analyzed that the correctness of simulation and the feasibility of physical experiments are proved.
