Super capacitor is an energy storage device developed in recent decades.It has the advantages of fast charging and discharging rate,high power density and no pollution to the environment,and gradually attracts people's attention.However,due to the difficulty of supercapacitor energy storage control technology,it is easy to bring about the shortcomings of low energy utilization and poor control performance in the process of use.Therefore,the optimal control of supercapacitor energy storage system is studied in this paper.Firstly,the overall design of the supercapacitor energy storage system is carried out,the charging and discharging mathematical model of the supercapacitor energy storage system is established,and the working principle of bidirectional DC/DC converters under different modes is analyzed.Then the parameters of the supercapacitor and the main components in the circuit are designed.Finally,the transfer functions of the supercapacitor energy storage system under different working modes are established.In view of the non-linear characteristics of supercapacitor energy storage system,particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is used to control the energy storage system.Firstly,the particle swarm optimization algorithm is compiled in MATLAB/Simulink,and the simplified model of the system is established to obtain the optimization parameters of each link.Then,the simulation circuit of the supercapacitor energy storage system working in different modes is built,and the traditional PID control parameters and particle swarm optimization control parameters are studied.The simulation experiments are carried out to verify the optimal control strategy.Finally,the traditional PID control and particle swarm optimization control are compared.Two experimental results of particle swarm optimization control verify that the proposed optimization method has better steady-state response accuracy and dynamic response speed than traditional PID control.An experimental platform for optimal control of supercapacitor energy storage system based on dSPACE is built,and the auxiliary circuit of system hardware is designed,including IGBT driving circuit and optocoupler isolation circuit.Subsequently,supercapacitor is selected as energy storage device,bidirectional DC/DC converter is used as energy transmission topology,and particle swarm optimization control algorithm is compiled and control circuit is built in dSPACE.Data collected from actual circuit are processed by control circuit and optimization algorithm in dSPACE,and an experimental platform for supercapacitor energy storage system optimization control is built.The results under the optimal control are compared with those under the traditional PID control.The results show that the optimization method proposed in this paper can be effectively used in energy storage control,which verifies that the designed supercapacitor energy storage system has good stability and dynamic performance.The experimental platform for optimal control of supercapacitor energy storage system proposed in this paper provides theoretical proof and experimental scheme for the research of energy storage system,and puts forward a new method for optimal control of supercapacitor energy storage system.
