| When an elevator moving, the power input constantly changing. So it have great potentialities on energy recovery and conservation. The major objective of this paper is to explore the capacity needs of super-capacitor in energy storage system associated with the Characteristics of elevator, and the bi-directional DC/DC converter can be used in the system.The paper analyzed the changing of energy status when an elevator moving based on researching of the structure and the characteristics of elevator. According to the relationship between the power of the bi-directional rectifier in front and the capacity needs of super-capacitor, reached the calculate method of the capacity needs of super-capacitor and then gives a simple and effective program of energy management to reduce the capacity needs.This paper also compared the advantages and disadvantages of different bi-directional DC/DC converter topology. considering the usage in the elevator system, come to a conclusion that the BUCK/BOOST bi-directional converter will be the better choice.At last, a bi-directional DC/DC converter based on DSP (digital signal processor) was designed, with the functions of charging super-capacitor with constant current or constant voltage and discharging super-capacitor with constant current to DC bus. |
