M&A are an important way for many airlines to expand their markets,eliminate competition and obtain resources.M&A integration is critical to the success of airline mergers and acquisitions.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the integration of resources after M&A,and to strategically allocate and integrate the resources of both parties to enhance the competitiveness of airlines.The paper analyzes the theory of enterprise resources,M&A integration and enterprise competitiveness.Study the strategic resources,market resources,financial asset resources,human resources integration content of airlines after M&A,and the impact on airline competitiveness.The study shows that retaining independent brands and unifying financial management system is significantly positively related to airline competitiveness.Integrating route network product system,unifying planning fleet can improve airline competitiveness in the medium and long term.Retaining senior management is significantly positively related to airline competitiveness in the first and second years after mergers and acquisitions.The paper innovates in the research perspective,the establishment of evaluation index system and sample selection.The airline's competitiveness evaluation index system is based on five dimensions: route network,service quality,financial performance,operation scale and production efficiency.The paper studys empirical analysis based on 96 airline M&A data for the global air transport market from 1998-2016.Study the impact of resource integration on airline competitiveness after M&A based on the enterprise resources theory.Propose merger and acquisition integration Suggests that are conducive to the competitiveness of airlines,and provide experience for airline M&A in theory and practice.
