With the rapid development of multi-airport and comprehensive transportation system,the overlapping of airport's catchment area has become increasingly prominent.Defining the effective service range of the airport is a concern of airports and their competent authorities.Comprehensive analysis shows that the existing airport's catchment area analysis methods have certain limitations.However,the prediction of consumer behavior based on the prospect theory of bounded rationality is closer to reality,which can be used to improve the airport's catchment area analysis method.Based on combing the basic theory and measurement methods of catchment area analysis,the concept of the airport's catchment area is defined.The key factors affecting the scope of the airport's catchment area are analyzed,and seven representative indicators are selected to construct the airport's catchment area analysis PT-MNL model.Take Chongqing Jiangbei(CGK)Airport as an example to calculate and determine the scope of CGK Airport's catchment area.Applied research shows that the CGK airport not only serves the local passengers,but also has a certain radiation and promotion effect on northeastern Sichuan,northern Guizhou and western Hubei.The prediction results are in line with theoretical expectations and realistic situations,which proves that the model is feasible.
