The Construction And Application Of Recreation Opportunity Spectrum In Public Green Space Along The Center Section Of Huangpu River In Shanghai

Along with the implementation of Huangpu Riverside Comprehensive Development in Shanghai,"let the green back to Huangpu River,let the people return to nature" has become functional reshaping goal from traditional industrial type to modern service type for Huangpu Riverside.The Bund comprehensive renovation was finished and World Expo Park and other parks had been built and open up one after another,they stimulated the vitality of the waterfront,and also brought more popularity.However,the current recreational space in the public green spaces along the center section of Huangpu River can not meet the diverse needs of recreation,and there is a distance to the target of world-class riverside public activity space construction for Huangpu Riverside.Based on the literature research,foreign recreation opportunity spectrum(ROS)was applied to the study on recreational space of public green spaces along the center section of Huangpu River in the paper.With the help of questionnaire and SPSS21.0 statistical software,from the point of recreation crowd,this paper discussed their recreational environment preferences and tried to implement recreation environment management and recreation project development to help the crowd to achieve their recreational experience.The research contents and results of this paper are as follows: After the investigation of recreation spaces of 15 public riverside green spaces,it summarized age,educational level and other thermal characteristics of visitors,and their behavior characteristics such as time spending,recreation preference and so on.It also further analysed the internal relations between demographic and recreational behavior characteristics and recreational environments.Based on the evaluations of recreation environment variables,9 environmental factors including environmental and management conditions,experience and sanitation supplies,richness and openness of recreational activities,micro environment suitability,vegetation and hydrophilic,tour guide and service,accessibility,space suitability,art and culture were identified by the method of principal component factor analysis.They covers three dimensions of natural,social and management.For the three kinds of recreation environments,which were named nature recreation environment,leisure and fitness recreation environment,and cultural experience recreation environment,it analysed the preference degrees of environmental factors,and finally,combined with recreation renovation of Huangpu Riverside,it constructed the ROS based on environment,activities,experiences and behavior characteristics.Aiming at the problems of management and design in the public green spaces,the paper proposed some strategies including the implementation of special recreation research and planning,making public green space recreational guidance,optimizing the layout and scale of every type of recreational environment,in order to optimize the quality of recreational space and promote the best recreational experience for recreational people.For the first time,this paper attempted to introduce the theory of recreation opportunity spectrum into the recreation resources management of urban artificial waterfront public green space,and it complemented the theoretical system of urban waterfront recreation space planning,designing and construction management.At the same time,it provided a useful theoretical and practical guidance for the orderly recreation development of the Huangpu Riverside.For this paper,the survey was implemented only in summer and winter,a full seasonal survey will be carried out in the future research.At the same time,the potential important environment variables will be supplemented,and the relationship between recreationists and recreation behaviors will be discussed in detai.
