The rapid economic development in recent years has promoted the development of urban traffic. In 2014 Chinese auto production and sales are both over 10 million level, becoming the world's largest automobile production and consumption. The rapid development of the automobile industry has also led to a large number of automotive high-tech technology innovation and application.Smart cars have become the people's pursuit of automotive technology development direction of the revolution. The Advanced Driver Assistant System(ADAS)detects the surroundings of a vehicle by using sensors(video, ultrasonic, microwave, pressure, light, heat, etc.)which mounted on the vehicle. The system can determine the possible dangerous situation at first time by the identification and management of detected signals, which can remind the driver or produce some early warning action to avoid the occurrence of dangerous and improve the active safety. This paper introduces the radar principle,Doppler Effect, vehicle CAN bus network and four functions of 24 GHz vehicle radar sensor.Analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of Radar sensor environment testing method at three levels(Key parameter monitoring, some parameter monitoring and no monitoring),optimized the cost the test bench and do a proposal for efficiency improvement and low cost at high level solution.Design to build the radar sensor test bench by sub-module.The actual test results proved the effectiveness of the test bench, which complete in house testing during development of radar sensor. It has good stability and high repeatability, improved the test efficiency and completed the initial design goals.
