Abstract/Summary:
The tern tube bearing for propeller shaft on ship is an very important parts.Water-lubricated polymer stern tube bearings,which is no risk of contaminated,and it gree and reliable.Low cost of initial investment and easy to install and maintain,compared with oil-lubricated tern tube bearings.Water-lubrication stern tube polymer bearing,which the main component is the polymer material,it has nice performance of friction and wear,elasticity and vibration absorption and widely used for supporting the shaft.Therefore,the research on the application of polymer water lubricated bearing on the actual ship has significant safety significance and economic significance for engineering application.The water lubricated polymer stern tube bearings,which more and more extensive used,as the objectives in this paper,with discussed the theoretics of water-lubrication and solve the Navier-Stokes equations,the tribological characteristics and bearing loading,lubrication characteristics of bearing had be discussed.And then educed the bearing stiffness coefficient for low viscidity elasticity water lubrication.Simultaneity the equivalent coupling stiffness had be educed,which calculated with water film stiffness,bearing stiffness and the bearing seat stiffness,to closed to the real value of ship,especially the bearing supporting outside of the ship.Then,the DNV shaft alignment and whirling calculation soft has be used to contrasted the difference bearing stiffness used in calculation model,and found the water lubrication bearing’s stiffness in reason.At last the design optimization measures had be showed to insure form the water film on ship.As the prove of ship sea test,the value of water lubrication bearing’s stiffness is reasonable and optimization measures is availability.
