Water pump shaft bearing is widely used in engine cooling water pumps and other machinery such as cars and trucks due to its small size,compact structure,convenient installation and low cost.At present,the traditional shaft bearing can be divided into two basic structures of WB and WR.With the continuous improvement of bearing performance requirements in China's machinery field,the inadequacies of traditional shaft-connected bearings such as low precision,high noise,small carrying capacity and unsatisfactory life expectancy are becoming more and more obvious.In order to meet the technical requirements of the pump shaft bearing,this paper proposes a new two-column-and-one-ball(W2R)shaft bearing structure,and studied the mechanical properties of the new shaft-connected structure.The main research contents are as follows:1.Establish a general mechanical analysis model and perform structure optimization analysis.Based on the Hertz contact theory,the general mechanical analysis model of the axial bearing is established considering the influence of the deflection of the rotating shaft on the internal load distribution of the bearing.According to the general static model of the shaft bearing,the performance analysis program of the shaft bearing is written by Matlab programming software for analyzing and comparing the mechanical properties of the shaft bearing structure types under specific working conditions,and the result shows that the W2 R bearing has high bearing rigidity and meets the requirements of long life performance.2.Study on mechanical properties of W2 R type shaft bearings.Based on the general mechanical analysis model,the mechanical properties of the load distribution,stiffness,and life of the W2 R shaft bearing are studied.3.Dynamics study of W2 R shaft bearing rotor.Based on the structure of W2 R shaft bearing,the rotor-bearing dynamics model considering the tilt angle of the rotating shaft is established,and the corresponding dynamic program is written by Matlab programming software.Based on the model,the effects of the working parameters on the dynamic properties of the bearing are analyzed,the parameters are optimized and the bearing performance get improved.4.Verification of the W2 R shaft bearing's mechanical.Through the commercial software of KISSsoft and Adams and related experiments,the feasibility andrationality of the shaft bearing mechanical analysis model established in this paper get verified.In the establishment of the general mechanical analysis model,the influence of the rotating shaft's deflection is considered,which makes the calculation result more accurate and reliable;when the rotor dynamics analysis model is established,the inclination of the rotating shaft is considered,which makes the internal contact state of the shaft bearing is closer to the actual situation.The mechanical analysis model of the shaft bearing established not only has reference significance and value for the theoretical analysis of such bearings but also can provide reference for the structural parameter's optimization and accurate life's assessment of shaft bearings.
