The coach plays an important role in public transportation in China and its capacity of carrying more passengers compared to other road transport medium is unfavorable in the event of major bus rollover accident.The rollover crash accident of coach has the highest fatality rate and causes severe injuries.China attaches great importance to the safety of coach rollover crash.It is clearly stated in the newly implemented GB 17578-2013 "Strength Requirements and Test Method Standards for Coach" that the bus manufacturers must run a rollover crash test on the bus products to ensure the upper structure of the bus to be strong enough to absorb maximum impact energy.However,in the increasingly competitive automotive market,shortening the product development cycle has become the consensus of all automotive R&D companies.In order to reduce the cost of research,the finite element analysis method can be used to replace the crash test of the actual vehicle to verify whether the strength of the upper structure of the bus accords to the regulatory requirements.And the pre-processing work takes more time in the entire CAE analysis process,which has become a key issue affecting the progress of the project.Hence,it is very important to analysis the structural safety in coach rollover crash accident.The main contents and related conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Use the self-compiled Tcl/Tk script subroutine to create a finite element pre-processing function module that is fully integrated into the HyperMesh interface to help users quickly implement the finite element modeling process.Among them,the automatic division of the grid,the assembly between the components,the automatic addition of the model material properties,and the functional modules of each component one-click naming.(2)According to the requirements of GB 17578-2013,the automated system for the pre-rolling process of passenger cars was developed,including: model introduction,creation of living space and finite element model of rollover platform,setting boundary conditions and Contact between components and automatically add keyword cards to the simulation calculation of the model.(3)In order to verify the accuracy and feasibility of the pre-processing automation design,the above-mentioned automated module was used to simulate the rollover test of a pure electric bus in LS-DYNA.The results show that the structural strength and stiffness of the passenger car meet the requirements of the regulations,and the designed rapid modeling module realizes the function of pre-processing automation of coach rollover simulation.Batching and automating the model,replacing the traditional manual repetitive operation with process automation,further improving the modeling specification,streamlining the operation process,reducing the work intensity of the pre-processing of the model,and greatly improving the passenger car.The efficiency of the rollover simulation analysis and the accuracy of the simulation results shorten the development cycle and reduce the cost.The automation module created this time can simplify the analysis process and has versatility,which can be promoted in other fields of FEA simulation analysis.The simulation analysis automation design can help users complete the process of simulation analysis quickly and efficiently.It has universality and can be applied in other simulation analysis fields.
