Dangerous medium leaking cause of explosion,flood,pollution,corrosion and other accidents pose a great threat to human ecological environment and the safety of life and property.Therefore,effective leak detection methods are essential for leakage hazard control.This paper proposes a magnetic material plugging method.Making experimental research as the main means to study the effects of this technology for plugging deeply.In the early stage of the experiment,the suspension process of magnetic materials in water was mainly studied.The effects of particle size,suspending agent and suspension aids on the suspension properties of magnetic materials were investigated,and the suspension effect was characterized by sedimentation height.The experimental results show that under the same experimental conditions,the smaller the particle size,the better the suspension effect of the magnetic material.Moreover,the type and concentration of the suspending agent and the suspending aid are different,and the suspension effect of the magnetic material is also greatly different.The optimum process conditions for achieving suspension stability of magnetic materials are: natural PH,electric stirring for 5 min,rotation speed control at 500 r/min,polyvinylpyrrolidone addition amount of 2%,and suspension aid A addition amount of 0.1 g.In the second stage of the experiment,the seepage flow was used as the evaluation standard for plugging effect on the self-made plugging simulation device,and the plugging performance and plugging mechanism of the magnetic material were explored.The experimental results show that the plugging effect of the electromagnet with a maximum suction force of 120 kg is better than that of the electromagnet with a maximum suction force of 15 kg and 60 kg respectively.So the larger the suction force of the electromagnet,the better the plugging effect of the magnetic material.When the electromagnet is 0cm away from the hole outlet,the plugging effect is obviously better than that of the electromagnet when the hole is 1cm and 2cm.Thus,the smaller the distance between the electromagnet and the water outlet,the more the magnetic material accumulates in the seepage channel,and the better the plugging effect.When the valve is 25%,the plugging effect of the magnetic material is better than the valve 50% opening and the valve is fully open.So the smaller the flow rate of the water,the less the loss of the magnetic material,and the better the plugging effect after the accumulation of the magnetic material is stabilized.The research results can provide the theoretical basis and experimental basis for the further research and field application of the magnetic material plugging.
