W Company Lean Six Sigma Application Study

Current market competition is becoming fiercely while customer requirement being more diversified,which pushes enterprises to do more to deal with.How to provide products and services to customers rapidly with advanced quality and low price becomes the main theme of enterprises research.After the year of 2000,a lot of manufacturing companies combined the Six Sigma mindset and Lean.Utilizing the lean character of paying attention to stream value and reducing process waste and also Six sigma's character of reduce variation in process,these companies has improved project efficiency and cost while meeting and exceeding customer.Lean Six Sigma combines lean mindset and six sigma management.Both advantages of them are combined together.As is known,practice is the only standard of verifying theory.The management of Lean Six Sigma has been verified by many famous companies,such as GE and Toyota.It has been recognized by more companies due to its good performance in increasing profits.And it attracts more companies to adapt this management through its effectiveness and progressiveness.However,Lean Six Sigma was not maturely implemented in China,especially for these medium and minor enterprises.Basing on the theory study and the practice of W company,this article introduces W company's quality issue and tackling by using Lean Six Sigma.And by implementing RTY improvement project in W company based on Lean Six sigma,it concludes and shows the application process of lean Six Sigma,especially introducing application of DMAIC while providing a good reference for other companies in the same industry.
