After the insulation of power transformer is aging or damaged,partial discharge will occur,which will in turn accelerate the deterioration of insulation performance and lead to insulation failure.After the insulation of power transformer is broken,it is easy to cause power accident.Therefore,it is very important to monitor partial discharge of power transformer on line and prevent power accident.A new partial discharge detection method for power transformer is presented in this paper.The combination of uhf detection method and pulse current detection method greatly improves the reliability of detection signal.This paper briefly introduces some methods of detecting partial discharge of power transformer,analyzes the characteristics of partial discharge of power transformer,and emphatically analyzes pulse current method and ultra-high frequency method.An detection circuit which is based on FPGA for partial discharge signal of power transformer is designed,which USES uhf signal as the trigger signal for detecting pulse current.The air gap discharge model and air corona discharge model in oil are simulated experimentally.Experiments show that the partial discharge detection method of power transformer proposed in this paper can detect partial discharge signals more accurately,and the anti-interference property is greatly improved.
