With the development of the Internet and the Internet of Things,the Vehicular Ad-hoc Network(VANET)technology has also received great attention from the society.The research and application of VANET technology also promotes the development and progress of intelligent transportation system(ITS),and plays an extremely important role in unmanned driving,safety rescue,remote dispatch management and so on.The researchs of VANET are mainly based on routing layer technology and medium access control(MAC)technology.This paper proposes a new VANET routing protocol based on Enhanced Greedy Traffic-Aware Routing(E-GyTAR),namely Improved Enhanced Greedy Traffic-Aware Routing(IE-GyTAR).IE-GyTAR chooses junction optimally considering vehicular traffic flows to accomplish robust routing paths and thereby forwarding the data packets.The new junction selection mechanism and routing between the junctions is based on two-hop neighbor information,which increases packet-delivery ratio and decreases end-to-end delay.Finally,performance comparison and analysis were carried out in the simulation experiment with the existing VANET routing protocol(Greedy Traffic-Aware Routing(GyTAR),E-GyTAR).The simulation results show that compared with GyTAR and E-GyTAR,IE-GyTAR has obvious advantages in terms of packet-delivery,end-to-end delay and routing overhead.Some MAC protocols for VANET has many shortcomings in supporting real-time services.And safety applications have always had high requirements for Quality of Service(QoS),so an extension of the Enhanced Distributed Channel Access(EDCA)defined in IEEE 802.11 p combined with TDMA is proposed in this paper,called ET-MAC.In order to evaluate the performance of the protocol,the TDMA-based MAC protocol that performs well in QoS is selected as a comparison in the simulation experiment.The simulation results reveal that ET-MAC significantly outperforms pure TDMA in terms of transmission delay,packet loss rate and network throughput.At the end of this paper,the design scheme of emergency rescue system is proposed,which mainly includes the vehicle terminal and the service platform center.A variety of sensor devices are installed in the vehicle terminal.When an accident occurs,the sensors collect data and send a request information for rescue to the service platform center.Then the platform center analyzes the data according to the received request and starts the rescue work.Sensor technology,positioning technology and communication technology are mainly used in the system to improve the real-time and reliability of message transmission in the system and ultimately improve rescue efficiency.
