| There are two ways in a Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) to communicate:Inter-vehicle (V2V) communications between vehicles and vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I)communications between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. This paper achieves vehicleapplication service prototype system of V2V and V2I based on3G and WLAN. The maincontents include:1) The communication technology standards of VANET were summarized and designobjective, implementation constraints and security issues of communication solutions forVANET were researched, which provided theoretical support for application service systemfor VANET.2) The communication quality test system for VANET was constructed and theperformance index such as data throughput and packet loss rate based on the abovecommunication scheme ware tested, and the relationship between affecting factors andchanges was analyzed, which provided technical support for application service system forVANET.3) The application services prototype system for VANET was designed and implemented.Vehicle terminals collected vehicle location information and vehicle operating data via GPSmodule and OBD module. Data collection is stored in embedded database SQLite indevelopment board and can be transmitted to the communication server in monitoring centerthrough the3G network. The communication server achieved reproducible trajectory of thevehicle and the health monitoring of the vehicle history based mainly on GPS data and OBDinformation.Practical application of vehicular services system has been explored in this paper, andthe research results provided technical support for vehicular application services. |
