Battery Discharge Unit(BDR)is a key part of Power Conditioning Unit(PCU)which is the core equipment of a satellite power system.The main function of a PCU is balancing the power among the solar arrays,batteries and satellite load.Based on the characteristics of the in-orbit environment,the high power density and the demands of high reliability and long life,this article brings up a designing scheme of the main power topology.Also,this thesis determines and verifies through tests the method of paralleled current sharing,because BDRs could work in parallel.HE-Boost topology is chosen as the main topology of the BDR,according to the status survey of domestic and foreign research of PCUs.The service condition in orbits is also taken into consideration.Then the control circuit,drive circuit and the current sampling circuit are introduced.The reliability design including the derating design,thermal design of power devices,EMC design and security of supply is introduced.Lastly,by comparing the circuits,the complexity and the reliability,the transconductance control is decided to be the main control mode of paralleled current sharing.From the above,a high-power,high efficiency,and high stable non-isolated boost Battery Discharge Regulator is designed and developed.Heat balance test is carried out to verify the heat design.The results show that high power devices used in BDR meet I derating design.Through the reliability enhancement test,it is found the weak links,and the improvement method is put forword.Finally,relevant test is carried out to prove that the electromagnetic compatibility meets the demands of the satellite.
