With the development of urbanization in China, sanitation vehicles like street sweepers play an increasingly important role in beautifying city environment.Centrifugal fan is the core working part of a street sweeper, and its efficiency has practical significance for energy saving of sanitation vehicle. This paper carries out optimization and dynamic matching research for centrifugal fan system based on actual air passage system of a sanitation sweeper.Firstly, numerical simulation models of centrifugal fan and air passage system are built and validated.Secondly, performance of centrifugal fan and air passage system are predicted respectively based on simulation models and the matching point of centrifugal fan is obtained.Thirdly, the flow loss characteristics of all the circulating components are found out by analyzing flow loss and flow field of centrifugal fan under matching point condition, and the coupling effect between the circulating components and specific impact of components on the centrifugal fan performance are found. The centrifugal fan system is optimized based on the results of flow field analysis, and the efficiency of optimized fan obtains 10% increase. Finally, engine performance simulation software is used to build performance prediction model of the sweeping system in the sanitation sweeper and joint performance of the diesel engine and the centrifugal fan system is studied. The results show that optimizing centrifugal fan can reduce fuel consumption by nearly 7.3%.At the same time, the joint operation analysis shows that the engine and the fan need to be optimized and matched to get the maximum energy-saving effect.
