With the development of the aerospace industry,the tasks carried by the spacecraft are also becoming more and more important,with increasingly diversified forms and functions.As a result,the stability and accuracy of the spacecraft have become increasingly stringent.Satellite as one of the important spacecraft,the issue of adjusting attitude is also inevitable.Satellite attitude has always been adjusted by the way through the solid flywheel angular momentum exchange.Due to the existence of mechanical moving parts in the solid flywheel,bearing wear will become more and more serious as time goes away.As the satellite maintenance is inconvenient in space,the problem of the flywheel also indicates the end of the satellite’s service life.In this paper,aiming at the problem of satellite attitude adjustment,combined with the researches on using the driving fluid to adjust the attitude of satellite proposed by domestic and foreign experts and scholars in recent decades,a series of researches on the electromagnetic fluid ring which drives the fluid have been done,including magnetic field design,parameter optimization,electromagnetic field simulation,flow field simulation and model verification.The main research contents includes the following aspects.Firstly,the design object is to use the electromagnetic effect to drive the liquid metal fluid to realize the angular momentum exchange on the satellite and get two performance characterization parameters according to the Angular Momentum Theorem.The physical and chemical properties of several low melting point metals are compared and analyzed to select the liquid metal fluid in the electromagnetic fluid ring.Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of magnetic field distribution to design the suitable magnetic circuit.Then,the topological optimization of the electromagnetic fluid ring model is used to optimize the cross-sectional shape of the upper and lower conductive plates of the fluid ring so that the material can be distributed most rationally.The heuristic optimization algorithm such as genetic algorithm is used to optimize the parameters of the electromagnetic fluid ring and the optimal electromagnetic fluid ring parameters satisfying the constraints are designed.Then,according to the result of the optimization calculation,an appropriate electromagnetic fluid ring model is established to simulate the electromagnetic field and the flow field,including the electromagnetic field distribution,the Lorentz force distribution,the velocity distribution in the fluid ring and the whole.Calculate electromagnetic fluid ring angular momentum and torque transient changes according to the formula and angular momentum theorem.Finally,the principle prototype of the electromagnetic fluid ring is designed and constructed based on the calculation simulation results and then do some relevant experiments to verify.
