Shipbuilding industry has been dramatically promoted with the constant development of marine exploitation and transport,leading to the frequent emergence of new ship types,materials,and shipbuilding technologies gradually,as well as the increasingly high requirements on ship structure accuracy.Welding,as an indispensable link of shipbuilding,directly affects shipbuilding accuracy and quality since structure deformation is mainly resulted from its thermal input.As if deformation is corrected after ship was completed,the production efficiency would be greatly reduced and the final building quality would be hard to be guaranteed.Therefore,the prediction on the welding deformation of typical structure has been a key technology for improving the building efficiency and quality of the shipbuilding industry characterized by small batch and multiple types.Based on the typical structure of the 83000 cubic meters-volumetric liquefied gas container(VLGC)built by Jiangnan Shipyard Co.,Ltd(JN),this paper firstly gave an elaboration on the current development situations of welding deformation prediction and digital measurement technologies.Subsequently,the typical welding forms and technologies were decomposed according to the structural characteristics and welding technology of regional segments of the VLGC.On this basis,typical welding sample components were designed and welded.Meanwhile,related data were collected and analyzed to acquire the temperature distribution and variation curves of the typical welding structure under typical welding technology.Moreover,the inherent welding strain of the structure was calculated and loaded onto a typical segment actually needed to be calculated using finite element and the typical welding technology obtained,Finally,the welding deformation law of the typical segment was calculated by comprehensively taking the welding sequence in account.According to the calculation results,the welding technology was optimized andthe completion state of the final segment was traced so as to confirm the feasibility and practicability of the technology route we followed in this research.The research result,on one hand,can provide technological support for accelerating and optimizing the building of 83000 cubic meters-volumetric liquefied gas container.On the other hand,it offers a technological solution for the prediction and control of welding deformation as building new ship types using new technologies and materials,as well as theoretical guidance and technological support for improving shipbuilding efficiency and quality.
