Ship building industry has been the industry that is attached by our nation;it is a benchmark measure of national manufacturing levels.But in recent years,the boat market downturns,resulting in that the industry is currently facing a serious shortage of labor dilemma,especially the loss and switch of welders.The fields for the construction of ship face a more difficult current situation.As we all know,welding technology is the key technology in modern construction of ship industry.30%-40% builders are welders in the total builders of the ship construction.Welding quality is the important indicator to evaluate the quality of ship building,at the same time;the welding efficiency can affect the costs and cycle of ship construction directly.Thus,the advance of welding technology is of great significance for promoting the development of the ship construction industry.Welding automation and mechanization is a inevitable trend of the development for welding technology,on the one hand,it can solve the problem of insufficient number of welders,on the other hand,it can improve the welding efficiency and welding quality.FAB method is researched in this article,this method can reduce the stand phenomenon in the section construction of ship and the applications of horse-board in the assembly process as well as the number of weld bead.It can also reduce the weld repair time after welding.We determine the content of evaluation for the welding process by the early technical exploratory test.And we find that the welding efficiency can enhance 3-5times.For the actual applications,we increase the projects of evaluation for welding process and break through the technical difficulties gradually,ensuring that the technology has a broad-based technology promotion.Imports of welding consumables mainly ensure the promotion and application of technology in the production of FAB.The product development and field application of domestic consumables is the final direction of project research.During the research for welding process of domestic welding consumables,we research the weldability of materials roundly such as the forming and mechanical properties of weld.We ensure these by adjust the content of welding material and form a theoretical basis.The innovation of this paper is the research for expansion technology such as large gap,thickness difference,sniped board and the development work of domestic welding.The project described above has not been mentioned so far,so some results of this research can be used as the process guide.
