Study On The Planning Advancement Strategy Of Ecologically Oriented Rural Road Space In Xi'an

Road,as the visible form of space,is the result,in formation and evolution,of interaction among society,economic,culture and ecological environment.Just as Richard Forman,a wellknown scholar in the field of road ecology,puts it,“The road system and the ecosystem are like two giants who wrestle with each together” and have a significant impact both on the ecological security of regional landscape and the ecological quality of road area in human residential environments.However,the extensive development of rural road construction,seriously damaging the ecological environment like biological death,soil erosion and habitat fragmentation,has badly affected its economic and cultural benefits and the construction in rural civilization of society and ecology.With the all-round revitalization in rural areas in China,its construction of living conditions needs further transformation and upgrading,making the importance of the ecological quality of rural roads gradually evident,which is also in line with the people's growing needs for better life.At present,the concern for rural roads is limited to the improvement of its quality and quantity,leading to the lack of the research on the interactive relationship between the ecological environment,impacted by the process of road construction,and social,economic and cultural development.Therefore,the thesis will focus on the ecological interpretation of the space of rural road,the exploration of its existing problems and the evaluation of its developmental quality in order to propose the eco-oriented strategy of promoting the spatial planning of rural roads.The thesis summarizes the typical experiences of improving the space quality of rural roads by doing the research overview of the relevant theories in ecological orientation,and probes into its ecological connotation from three elements including eco-environment,space and culture.And then considering the research of rural roads under different geospatial types,according to the landscape ecological basis theory of “matrix-plaque-corridor”,the rural roads in Xi'an will be divided into two types of ecological pattern for Guanzhong Plain and Qinling mountain.Thus by analyzing the characteristics of road landscape distribution,road scale and road shape,the conclusion will be made on the existing problems in rural roads of ecological landscape,construction,afforestation,facilities,design,management and maintenance.In this way there will the establishment of the evaluation index system of ecological rural road space and the proposal of improving the road planning in the terms of ecological planning and design,road greening,technological utilization,classification of facilities,improvement of planning and construction,and innovation of management and conservation mechanism.Therefoore,in combination with empirical cases,the thesis will contribute to the theoretical and practical reference for the improvement of ecological quality in the process of rural road construction in Xi'an.
