With the rapid development of social economy,a variety of energy resources in the living environment are consumed in a large amount in a short period of time,which accelerates the deterioration of the ecological environment and makes the problem of energy shortage more prominent.With the change of living conditions in cities,people’s requirements for living comfort are increasing day by day.The energy consumption of urban buildings and urban life has become an important factor affecting global energy consumption.After deeply understanding the concept of "sustainable development",strengthening the research of building energy conservation technology design has become an important link in the development of the construction industry.Under the influence of high informatization of engineering technology,BIM technology brings a breakthrough development to the whole life cycle system of architectural ecological design and engineering.University library building is one of the representative types of campus public buildings.With the increase of users of university libraries and the evolution of campus functions,the problem of energy conservation of library building is increasingly prominent,which hinders the sustainable development of university buildings.Based on the above background,this study takes BIM technology as a tool and xi ’an as an example to study the energy-saving design strategy of university library buildings.First of all,this paper describes the current situation of energy consumption in public buildings of colleges and universities in China,and elaborates and studies the simulation analysis of building energy consumption based on BIM technology and related theories of energy-saving design.Then,through the collection of architectural literature,field research and questionnaire survey of university libraries in key regions of xi ’an,this paper analyzes the problems of university libraries in building energy conservation from three levels of planning design,architectural design and structural design.Based on above research questions,the author through to the typical library arrow in xi ’an region,both inside and outside environment of the test data,to data analysis results as a basis for the body of building energy efficiency design problems,and through the BIM technology under the energy consumption simulation software for simulating building thermal performance analysis,it is concluded that thespecific problems of the energy saving design.Finally,according to the way through the above study of xi ’an region library building energy efficiency design problems of the summary,with BIM technology simulation analysis method for auxiliary tool,combined with the feature of the climate of xi ’an region,from planning layout,construction monomer design and architecture design from three aspects,put forward suitable for xi ’an region types of public building energy efficiency design strategy in university library,and in changan WeiShui campus yifu library as a case for building energy efficiency design scheme optimization.In order to provide some valuable reference for the building energy conservation optimization design of university library in xi ’an area.Key words:University library building,energy-saving design,BIM technology,building energy consumption simulation analysis.
