The urban underlying surface is constantly changing in the process of urban construction,resulting in increasingly significant urban heat island phenomenon,seriously affecting people's outdoor daily activities and health.As a natural landscape element with large specific heat capacity,high latent heat of evaporation and low reflectivity,water body plays an important role in improving urban microclimate.Therefore,this paper takes the urban residential waterscape as the research object,and carries out the following research:Firstly,the natural situation and distribution of water system in Guangzhou are summarized.Guangzhou's abundant water system resources breed a unique Lingnan water culture,which embodies the application of the thermal environment effect of water scenery in the layout of traditional villages in Guangzhou.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China,the development of modern residential waterscape in Guangzhou has gone through four stages: germination,start,development and maturity.Fifty-five modern residential waterscape areas built in the stage of development and maturity are selected for investigation.It is found that the main design factors of Guangzhou residential waterscape are static waterscape,including layout,scale,shape and revetment.There are four main layout modes: core layout,linear layout,surround layout and decentralized layout.The layout of Guangzhou residential waterscape is mainly core layout;the scale of Guangzhou residential waterscape is mostly controlled within 5%;the shape of Guangzhou residential waterscape is mainly free curve profile;and eight commonly used materials of revetment are summarized.Secondly,the static water body is simulated by ENVI-met software,and the influence of the change of water body and its design factors on the thermal environment of the waterfront space is explored.The results show that the water body mainly affects the downwind area under the action of wind,followed by the cross-wind direction,which has less influence on the upwind area;the core layout and the linear layout perpendicular to the wind direction have the most cooling and humidifying effect;the larger the scale of the water body,the more significant its cooling and humidifying effect;the more compact the shape of the water body,the more conducive to reducing the average temperature above the water body,increasing the average relative humidity above the water body area,and increasing the impact area of the low temperature area;and the wooden revetment is conducive to enhancing the cooling and humidifying effect of the water body on the waterfront space.Then,the author carries on the optimization simulation to a residential area in Guangzhou,the research shows that the water body has a significant cooling and humidifying effect on the outdoor thermal environment of the residential area,while the hard pavement far from the water body increases the average surface temperature of the residential area;increasing the area of the water body is the most effective measure to increase its cooling and humidifying effect;changing the material of the water body revetment to wood material can significantly improve the Moisture and heat environment of the waterfront space.;changing the shape of water body to make it more compact can improve the humidity and heat environment above the water body area,but has less impact on the waterfront space.Finally,a waterscape design strategy based on the improvement of residential thermal environment is put forward by synthesizing the results of investigation,numerical simulation and case optimization.
