Water Cooled Breeder Blanket?WCBB?is a breeding blanket candidate for Chinese Fusion Engineering Testing Reactor?CFETR?.Based on the neutronics and thermodynamics analysis,it is necessary to carry out optimization design for evaluating the neutron and thermal performance of WCBB,which verified the feasibility of WCBB design concept.Firstly,a lot of neutronics simulations had been done using neutronics code.Based on the simulation results of the Lithium shell model,the 1D neutronics model and the 3D neutronics model,the neutronics feasibility of WCBB is be verified.Secondly,ANSYS CFX is used in analyzing the temperature distribution of the blanket.The numerical results show that the Be12Ti using as the neutron multiplier material can meet the design requirement of the CFETR.The results also indicate that the series coolant arrangement is more beneficial to the stable operation of the WCBB.Finally,the coupling analysis of neutronics and thermodynamics had carried out for enaluating tritium breeding ratio,nuclear heat distribution and temperature distribution.Comparing with the uncoupled results,the coupling analyses is more suitable for evaluating the neutron and thermal performance of the WCBB.
