Due to the energy-saving and rich features of gridshelll buildings,more and more architects pay attention to it.The early gridshell buildings were formed by curved curved plane mesh,and their structural form is not a priori.The top-down morphological design approach will result in the form of the design not being formed by a curved planar grid.With the advancement of wood processing technology,wood can be processed into any form according to a digital model and then spliced and formed.Since the gridshelll is more complicated from the material characteristics to the construction method than the traditional steel mesh shell,when designing this type of building,the architect who plays a leading role in the project needs to consider from the form design to the construction.The architects comprehensively grasp the comprehensive contradiction of this type of building,which can effectively save the time and economic cost of design and construction.At home and abroad,there are related researches on the digital form and structure analysis of the gridshell building,but the digital form and structural performance simulation process is still carried out separately across platforms,which makes the architect unable to quickly judge the rationality of the generated structural form.On the other hand,the morphological optimization of the gridshell building is only the optimization result of the finite type of comparative analysis.This simple analysis method can get the optimal solution in the enumerated type,but it is impossible to be the global optimal solution.In view of the above problems,this paper summarizes the structural characteristics,material characteristics and construction methods of wood grid shells through case analysis,and constructs the theoretical system from design to construction.According to the above summary,the structural design plug-in karamba in the parametric design platform Grasshopper is used to study the digital form-finding and structural performance simulation,and a set of practical form-finding logic and performance analysis logic are summarized.Combining the two processes through a parameterized platform,the changes in the morphological control parameters directly affect the results of the performance analysis and are visually displayed through the graphical interface.The parameterization of the form-finding and performance analysis process by means of the computer platform provides the basic conditions for the utilization of the optimization algorithm.This paper explores the necessity of combining parametric design with optimization algorithms.The author will aim at the gridshell building and combine the optimization algorithm on the parametric platform to realize the rapid linkage analysis of digital form and performance analysis,and obtain the optimal solution in the morphologically defined interval.Finally,the validity of the designmethod is verified by case design,which provides reasonable and effective technical support for the design of this type of building in the future.
