Rapid and sustained development of economy has accelerated theurbanizationprocess,consequentlyleading to the increasingscaleof urban populationandthesize of urban land.The periphery of the central cities and the satellite cities gradually developed,and a large number of long-short distance traffic and fast-slow mixed traffic phenomenon appears,consequentlyexacerbating the pressure on urban transportation.In the current situation of highly developed informationize,people pay more attention to the traffic accessibility and high efficiency operation of urban transport.Recently,vehiclenumbers continue to escalate in China,on the contrarythe growth rate of urban roadway is far below the growth rate of the vehicle numbers,whichbrings greater challenges to the urban construction.Urban expressway construction will greatly relieve the pressure on urban traffic congestion,and play an important role in urban development.In the analysis of the construction background and significance of Xi’an south and east second ring expressway,through the analysis of regional profile(including landform,geological structure and earthquakes,meteorological condition,river and undergroundwater),the socioeconomic status and development situation,traffic situation(including highway network,urban road network,metro network,the south and east second ring status quo,the traffic flow status quo)and the travel situation of urban residents.Combined with the circumjacent road network,traffic source,traffic flow andtrip survey of urban residentsin the south and east second ring affectedarea,forecast and analyze the national economy and the local population,ever-increasing vehicle numbers and traffic demand in the project area.And then calculate the traffic capacity in the project area,evaluate the service level,put forward the basic planning principles on south and east second ring expressway,analyze the traffic localization and functional role of the south and east second ring road,ultimately present the general arrangement project and the main node project on the south and east second ring expressway planning.Research achievement will provide an important referencetoplanning and construction of the south and east second ringexpressway. |
