In today's world,underground railways are developing rapidly,and metropolises with a population of more than one million in developed countries.Most of them build subway to alleviate and improve traffic tension.As far as China's large population is concerned,it is more important to develop the subway project.The subway in China also has a good prospect.With the rapid development of social economy and the acceleration of urbanization process in China,the number of urban population has increased dramatically,the number of private cars has increased,and traffic congestion can be seen in most cities in China.The construction of subway plays an important role in improving the urban traffic environment.With the increase of population,people in remote areas continue to emerge to large cities and guide them.As a result,traffic pressure in big cities has increased.For Shanghai,it is very difficult to plan the road in the urban area which has already been formed.It is still unable to meet the growing demand to adopt measures such as time-limited travel,building elevated buildings and so on.Therefore,the metro network in China will become more and more dense and play a huge role in bringing more convenience to our transportation.Based on the theory of industrial engineering technology,this paper uses the method of industrial engineering to study the overhaul operation of gearbox.In the study,problems are found,reasons are analyzed,and lean production are used to optimize the overhaul operation of gearbox.In gear box overhaul operation,there are many moving times,long moving distance,more unnecessary take-and-take actions,long waiting time and easy fatigue of operators,which lead to low production efficiency.By using the method of "5W1H" to find out the causes of these problems:the layout of the site and the design of the workbench are not ideal,and the collection of tools and accessories is not scientific.This paper uses lean production ideas and tools to optimize these problems,reduce unnecessary handling waste and action waste,and reduce waiting time,improve the skills and enthusiasm of workers,optimize the placement of worktable,materials and tools,and reduce the fatigue of workers.The overhaul time of a gearbox is reduced from 1009 minute to 570.5 minute,and the production efficiency is obviously improved.Compared with the gear box overhaul operation before optimization,it has obvious improvement,which verifies the feasibility of the optimization scheme based on industrial engineering.
