Abstract/Summary:
China is vigorously promoting the “Belt and Road” initiative.China’s high-speed railway has made a good start,but the high-speed railway standards of China have relatively low international acknowledgement.Although China and many other countries have formed some intention of high-speed railway construction,there are only a few which are put into action.Apart from the rapidly changing international environment,the acknowledgement of standards is the main obstacle of promoting China’s high-speed railway.For the projects that are already under implementation,there are still many difficulties and obstacles caused by differences in standards.Therefore,the comparative study of Chinese and foreign standards has become an urgent task so as to promote the international acknowledgement of Chinese standards.This paper comprehensively studies the latest achievements of both China and abroad regarding the surrounding rock classification and initial support design of tunnels.At present,in China,there are few studies on European surrounding rock classification and initial support design,especially on the theoretical analysis.Based on the background of DE high-speed railway TK tunnel in Country B,the quality of surrounding rock and initial support design at the same tunnel are verified under Chinese and European standards respectively.The two standards adopt different survey and design methods,especially the European standards,which are relatively new to Chinese survey and design engineers.The differences between the two standards in surrounding rock classification and initial support of tunnels are further compared and studied.The following results are obtained after comparative study and summary:(1)Based on the engineering experience and theoretical knowledge of surrounding rock classification of tunnel,the identification of surrounding rock based on field geological survey results is carried out.The results of quality evaluation and classification for surrounding rock of tunnel under different standards at the same site are obtained.(2)Based on the theoretical knowledge of tunnel,the numerical analysis model of primary support of tunnel is established.The key point is to simulate the structure and force bearing status of primary support,and ensure the reliability and accuracy of the analysis results,which lays the foundation for subsequent comparative analysis,and thus the design parameters of primary support of tunnel under different standards at the same site are obtained.(3)Through comparative analysis,the differences between Chinese and European standards in surrounding rock classification and primary support design of tunnel are found.This study has the following significance:(1)It will help Chinese High-speed Railway go global.(2)It will play a positive role in helping China’s tunnel industry adapt to the international market.
