Research On Application Of Platform Space In Contemporary Architectural Design

Since the beginning of the development of architecture,platform has been playing a special role in various periods.From adapting to nature to expressing admiration,Platform's evolution has a long history.Building platform in ancient time was restricted by the construction technology and the building materials,making the forms were limited.At present time,the high platform buildings rarely appear but the space type developed from platform buildings was brilliant in the contemporary architecture due to the space nature of the platform buildings.Based on the literature research of space theories and the case analysis of contemporary architecture at home and abroad,this paper focuses on the application of platforms in contemporary architectural design.The whole paper has 5 chapters.The first chapter expresses the evolution of platform from ancient time to the present,jumping out of the limitations of specific building components,clearing the scope of this study for a space type,formulating research logic,and putting forward the research framework.In the second chapter,the related elements of platform space are analyzed,and the attributes of platform as a space type,the objective catalytic factors of its application in contemporary architectural design and the differentiation and transformation of platform and other space types are explained from a macro perspective.The result of the application platform acts on three specific aspects,function,form and space,is also the logic of this paper.Chapters 3 to 5 will contain these three aspects studied in detail,which are the core chapters of this paper.Chapter 3 contains the usage of the platform in derivation of modern architectural functions,including the material function of the platform,the architectural field created by the platform and the feedback of the platform to the body experience.Chapter 4 discusses the application of platform in contemporary architectural form shaping,focusing on the visual communication,topological deformation and section deconstruction of platform to clarify the ideas and techniques of platform in form.Chapter 5 discusses the usage methods of the platform in the construction of architectural space nowadays and summarizes that the introduction of the platform can reset space orders,create space plots and lift space restrictions.Taking history as reference,focusing on the contemporary era,this paper refines the space attributes of the platform and studies the platform as a space type macroscopically,keeping close to the pulse of the times and basing itself on contemporary architectural design.Through systematic theoretical research and case induction,different classifications,rules and methods of platform space application are found out,which makes architectural design more evidence-based,and combs the logic for future space design and expands ideas.At the same time,through the application of platform in contemporary architectural design,the paper excavates the origin of space,jumping out of the confinement of specific building components and building types and returning to theoretical thinking.Consolidating the theoretical basis for future contemporary architectural design,it provides theoretical methods for the study of other architectural space.
