With the increasing competition in the automobile market,as one of piston manufacturing enterprises,cost reduction and efficiency have become the key tasks of the company's operations.The production process has proposed the development requirements of less people and automation.Automatic upgrade has become the main means of existing equipment level improvement.The Z4112 bench drill is a fully manual drilling machine,which undertakes the oil drilling process.Through the automatic improvement,the realization of automatic drilling and loading and unloading workpieces,transfer conveyor,can improve the process efficiency.Reducing the rate of defective products and the use of personnel achieves the goal of low input and high output.This paper focuses on the research of mechanical structure,fixture,automatic assembly and disassembly,electrical control.and designs the rotary device,drilling mechanism,positioning fixture,airtight detection device,automatic pick-up manipulator and conveyor.Confirm the overall scheme of automation,and analyze mechanical properties of the drilling process,and determine transmission ratio of the feed and rotation shaft.The structure of the fixture was discussed,using Solidedge to design mechanism and special fixture,and the accuracy is verified.The state of piston clamping in place was studied,and an error-proof device for air tightness position detection was designed.The problems of drill breakage are analysed,sensor technology is applied to monitor drilling process.The function of the manipulator is studied,and the technical parameters are determined.The manipulator and the conveying channel are designed,The mathematical model of the manipulator is established by kinematics theory,and the position accuracy of the manipulator is analyzed by matrix transformation method..According to the requirements of drilling and transmission,design and select control system,determine parameters,design circuit to realize the control of rotating,feeding and manipulator,and achieve goal of automation.
